    If you experience any pain, swelling, sensation changes, or any unusual reactions while using this product, consult your medical professional immediately. Check your feet each day for redness.

    Product Care:
    First, clean the shoe with a damp cloth. This will get them ready for an application of shoe cream. Next, use a cleaning and conditioning cream for leather shoes. Simply apply the cream with a dry, clean cloth and work it into the leather. Buff or brush out.

  • Comfortable shoes are for everyone and some people may even qualify for Medicare reimbursement for diabetic shoes.

    Do I qualify for diabetic shoes?

    Coverage is for anyone with Medicare Part B (or other qualified insurance) who has diabetes, has appropriate documentation from a qualified physician, and:

    • Previous amputation of the foot, or part of either foot, or
    • History of ulcers, or
    • History of pre-ulcerative calluses, or
    • Diabetic Neuropathy with evidence of Callus formation, or
    • Foot deformity, or
    • Poor blood circulation

    Speak with your podiatrist to find out if you qualify.

    To receive Medicare coverage, all eligible reimbursement items must be ordered through a Dr. Comfort provider.

    Medicare allows one pair of extra-depth shoes per calendar year. For qualifying patients, Medicare will also cover three pairs of inserts each calendar year.

  • (OTC) Gel Inserts

    Gel insoles come standard in Dr. Comfort shoes. Delivering gel padding under the metatarsals and heel, these inserts provide medial and lateral stability for proper bio-mechanical support, balance and comfort.

    Heat Moldable Inserts (EVA)

    Heat-moldable inserts may be necessary for individuals who need more support and a more form-fitting insole. Made from 40 durometer blue EVA and a soft polyethylene (PE) top cover, these inserts provide medial and lateral stability delivering individuals with proper bio-mechanical support and balance. Not standard in Dr. Comfort shoes and will require a prescription.

    A personalized alternative to over-the-counter inserts offers patients a better fit. The EXOS is the latest functional therapeutic orthotic that can mold to the patient’s foot within minutes, providing an improved fit of their shoes for better support and comfort. Exclusively from Dr. Comfort.
