The app is compatible with an iPad and requires iOS 10 or later. Please note, officially this product requires 64-bit hardware (iPad Air, or iPad Mini 2 and newer).
What’s the best way to capture the foot’s image?
There are three ways to capture the patient’s foot
- Sitting
- Standing
- Lying flat on their stomach (Prone)
Sitting
Once you get your patient in a comfortable seated position, have them lift and extend one leg. Try to keep the foot as straight as possible. You can put a stool or an object under their leg to help support it as you take the scan. When scanning, make sure to keep the foot within the 3D box on the app.
Standing
Using a chair, have your patient stand with one knee resting on the chair. Try to get the patient’s foot into a neutral position. Then begin scanning. Again, make sure to keep the foot within the three-dimensional box and rotate the iPad around to capture all areas of the foot.
Lying
Have your patient lay flat on their stomach with one leg extended and the other bent at a 90-degree angle. Start on the lateral side and then slowly move around the patient’s foot, keeping it within the 3D box.
